Ms. Johnson volunteered at the Commonwealth Games (1978), the Universiad (1983), and the IAAF World Championships in Athletics (2001). Her fondest memory from volunteering is from working in the Athletes' Village at Universiad, because of the cultural diversity of the athletes. She also met the Queen while on duty as an attendant for the VIP restroom at the Commonwealth Games.
