On-Campus Accommodation: Shaffer Residence
Delegates may reserve private dorm rooms in Shaffer Residence until July 25, 2005 through the University of Alberta's Conference Centre. 50 single rooms at $44.40/night (CAN), single occupancy, are available from August 24, 2005 - August 29, 2005. Each room has a private washroom, telephone service, and access to high speed internet (charges apply). Shaffer Residence is a 10 minute walk from the Stollery Business Centre. Parking is available at a cost of $4.00/day. Please call 1-800-615-4807 or 1-780-492-6057 for room bookings and indicate the Indigenous Women & Feminism Conference. Rooms may be previewed at University of Alberta Conference Services.
Off-Campus Accommodation: Campus Tower Suite Hotel
Guests wishing to stay off campus may book suites through the Campus Tower Suite Hotel by calling 1-888-962-2522 or 1-780-439-6060 and quoting confirmation number 114652. 55 suites at a rate of $102.00/night plus 12% taxes have been reserved from August 24, 2005 - August 29, 2005. Complimentary parking is available. Campus Tower Suite Hotel is a 10 minute walk from the Stollery Business Centre. The hotel is located at 11145 87 Ave, directly across from the university. Rooms will be held until July 25, 2005.
Other Convenient Locations
Varscona Hotel, 8208 106 St, 1-780-434-6111. A 30 minute walk to the University. Corporate rate $105.00/night + tax. The Varscona is located within the Strathcona District with great shopping, pubs, and restaurants. Delegates are encouraged to book early as August is one of the busiest times of year.
Shuttle Service
Sky Shuttle is located at Gate 7 at the Edmonton International Airport. The service is avaible to both Campus Tower and the Varscona Hotels for $13.00 CAN, one way, and $20.00 CAN, open ticket. The shuttle does not provide service to Shaffer Residence.
